Due to Covid-19 many companies in Surrey, London and beyond are ramping up their digital marketing activity to ensure they continue to build brand awareness, reach new customers, and generate leads. Now it is more important than ever to have an effective and optimised website that can easily be discovered by your target audiences.

The UK is the world’s third largest market for e-commerce and £3 in every £10 is now spent online according to a report by Barclays Corporate Banking – Survive and thrive: how the UK’s retailers are adapting to the ‘new normal’. The survey involved 300 senior managers (or above) from across the retail industry, working in firms with between 10 and 500+ employees.

The study also highlights that harnessing the power of data analytics is an increasingly effective approach for retailers to understand their customers, and one in four retailers (26%) has embraced this technology for the first time since lockdown began. Meanwhile, a third (33%) of retailers have invested in website upgrades.

Claire Allaker, Director of Surrey Creative commented: “Since lockdown began we have received an uplift in enquiries from businesspeople who require digital marketing strategies to help establish and grow their business online. Many wish to invest in a bespoke website, realising that their online presence and SEO is more important than ever before.

“We are also working closely with existing clients, analysing their online data to better understand their customer base so we can build highly targeted digital advertising campaigns that deliver results. Data is power and all the websites and advertising campaigns that we create can be analysed, providing us with valuable information such as demographics, geographies, and preferences.

Richard Smee, Director of We Buy Your Motor Car said: “Since lockdown began I have invested in several new websites and increased my pay-per-click (PPC) spend. Surrey Creative managed the design and development of the websites and they also look after my PPC advertising. They make sure my adverts are being seen by the right people for the best possible price per click and I receive hundreds of enquiries every month.”

Today PPC is one of the most successful online advertising channels and many of our clients hold it critical to their business success. We will continue to support many businesses during these challenging times, helping them to survive and thrive.
